Hail and
well met!
I am known in the SCA (Society for
Creative Anachronism) as Eadric of Grenfeld, a Saxon archer of the early 11th
Century.

I am the master of a small
estate in the village of Grenfeld, located in the eastern part of the Barony of
Sternfeld, which is part of the Constellation region of the Middle Kingdom.
Though of noble birth, I was
unsettled and wanted to travel, so I left my family for a time to discover the
world around me. I travelled to the
various shires and cantons of Constellation as a storyteller for a time. I even travelled as far as the Shire of
Rokkehealden in the Region of Midlands where I met a fair maiden, whom I later
married.
My lady and I returned to
Grenfeld where we raised our two sons. I
trained them in the use of both bow and sword so that they would be mighty in
battle should the need arise; however, I also taught them to live in peace as
much as it depended on them.

Obviously, archery is one of my
interests. I, along with my two sons,
enjoy going to archery practice every Wednesday evening. In addition, I have learned how to make
arrows, which has been an enjoyable endeavor.
I knew that fletching the arrows would take the most time, but I also
found that it is the most enjoyable part of the process. Below are a few pictures of some of the
arrows that I have made.
